About the Role

The Minor Surgery Clinician will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to adult patients attending the community minor surgery service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct minor surgical procedures, including excisions, biopsies, cyst removals, and suturing.
  • Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care.
  • Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Experienced GPs with a specialist interest in minor surgery, Accredited GPwERs or GPwSI in Dermatology who also perform Minor Surgery.
  • Evidence of specialty training in a relevant field, such as, Dermatology, General Surgery or Plastic Surgery.
  • Proven experience in performing minor surgical procedures independently.
  • Proficiency in local anaesthesia techniques and wound closure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Performers List proof (any performers list in the UK is acceptable).
