Job Overview

The Podiatric Surgery Service, part of the MSK Directorate within Sheffield Teaching Hospital, is seeking a skilled Staff Podiatrist to contribute to the provision of surgical cases within a Day Surgery Unit and Outpatient Care settings.

The ideal candidate will possess a BSc Hons Degree in Podiatry, Local Analgesia certification, and MSc Theory of Podiatric Surgery, among other qualifications.

Key responsibilities include administering regional anaesthetic, working with the nursing team, and contributing to the operational stability of the unit.

Main Duties
  • Contribute to the provision of surgical cases within a Day Surgery Unit and Outpatient Care settings.
  • Administer regional anaesthetic following a patient's admission to the Day Surgery Unit.
  • Work with the nursing team through to patient discharge.
Requirements
  • BSc Hons Degree in Podiatry.
  • Local Analgesia certification.
  • MSc Theory of Podiatric Surgery.
  • Therapeutic Injection Therapy Certificate.
  • IRMER certification.
  • NMP Certification.
  • Clinical Ultrasound Certification.
