We are excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in Hereford As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping students with additional learning needs succeed in their academic journey.

Job Overview:

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of educational principles and practices, with previous experience in supporting students with additional needs. You will be responsible for assisting teachers with lesson planning, delivery, and assessment, as well as providing one-to-one support to students as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation, implementation, and evaluation
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with additional learning needs
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with additional needs
  • Educational Workforce Council (EWC) Membership
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application
  • Two professional child-related references
