About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning Manager to join our Children's Commissioning and Contract Management team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing commissioning services for children looked after and care leavers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Innovate: Manage a talented team to deliver effective commissioning services for children looked after, driving innovation and ensuring the highest standards of care and support.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance service delivery, focusing on early help, SEND, education services, and specialist placements for children in care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with partners, providers, stakeholders, and those with lived experience to create integrated, high-quality services that truly meet the needs of Bradford's children and families.
  • Performance Excellence: Oversee complex commissioning activities, utilizing your expertise in strategic planning, performance monitoring, and data analysis to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Requirements
  • Significant experience in managing high-value, complex commissioning activities, particularly in children's services.
  • Knowledge of fostering and children's home placements is essential.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and manage service development projects, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strong ability to work effectively with a diverse range of partners and stakeholders, ensuring that the voices of children and young people are at the heart of our services.
  • Expertise: In-depth understanding of commissioning processes, legislation, and best practices in the provision of care for children and young people.
