About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join our team in a critical environment facility in Hertfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in electrical engineering who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes settings.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the operational reliability of essential systems and ensuring the facility's infrastructure is running efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform regular maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems and equipment in a critical environment.
  2. Conduct scheduled PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance on electrical assets, including UPS systems, generators, and HV/LV distribution systems.
  3. Support system upgrades, refurbishments, and project installations as required.
  4. Monitor and report on performance metrics, safety inspections, and environmental conditions, ensuring all relevant documentation is complete.
Requirements
  1. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Maintenance.
  2. Experience working in a critical environment, such as data centers, hospitals, or secure facilities.
  3. Ability to work under pressure and resolve complex electrical issues quickly and effectively.
  4. Flexibility to work shift patterns and respond to emergencies outside standard hours.
