About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Mechanical & Electrical Design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management of both Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers and the development of standard product and project-specific designs for HUBER machines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineers to ensure the development of high-quality designs that meet customer expectations and commercial viability.
  • Oversee the development of standard product and project-specific designs for HUBER machines, ensuring compliance with relevant specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Process Development Manager to run trials and validate equipment performance, developing product enhancements.
  • Provide standard technical documentation for HUBER products, including manuals, drawings, product structures, and test schedules.
  • Optimize the use of mechanical & electrical design resources by scheduling workloads and monitoring departmental output.
  • Recruit temporary staff or outsource activities to ensure fixed deadlines are met.
  • Evaluate the training needs of employees within your remit.

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND or higher in an engineering discipline.
  • Current management position in the relevant field.
  • Competent in reading/reviewing engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of CAD.
  • Clean UK driving license.
