About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Garage Equipment Specialist to join our team at Arnold Clark Group. As a key member of our service team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of garage equipment, ensuring our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Servicing and Repairs: Attend customer sites to carry out routine servicing and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic garage equipment, including vehicle lifts, compressors, and MOT equipment.
  2. Fault Finding and Repair: Identify and repair equipment breakdowns, as well as perform planned preventative maintenance on ramps and garage equipment.
  3. Administration: Complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  4. Stock Management: Ensure the company van is stocked with the necessary parts and tools.
  5. Teamwork: Work closely with a team of other engineers and service controllers to ensure seamless service delivery.
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience in a similar field-based garage equipment maintenance role.
  • High levels of organisation and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • The ability to be self-motivated and work unsupervised.
  • The ability to work well within a team.
Nice to Have
  • Microsoft computer knowledge.
  • Plant vehicle maintenance experience.
  • LOLER certified to surveyor level.
