Job Description

Role Overview

Keoghs is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fraud Claims Investigator to join our busy Intelligence Team. As an entry-level role with future progression prospects, this position offers a unique opportunity to develop skills and expertise in fraud detection and prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and add new suspected fraudulent insurance claims to our Keoghs Intelligence Database
  • Communicate with external organizations, such as insurers, to obtain information and assist with gathering intelligence on suspected fraudulent insurance claims
  • Assist Intelligence Analysts with progressing investigations and intelligence searches, answer phone calls, prepare outgoing correspondence, and maintain internal databases
  • Respond to incoming requests for information from external organizations, assisting the wider industry with the prevention and detection of fraud

Accountabilities

  • Identify key information from new files and manually enter data onto various internal databases
  • Make decisions on which enquiries to follow up and liaise with Intelligence Analysts and internal file handlers accordingly
  • Make calls to insurers to obtain information relating to previous claims
  • Comply with service level agreements (SLAs) and internal policies and procedures
  • Prioritize workload and maintain focus and commitment once sign-off has been achieved
  • Prepare responses to internal and external requests received based on file information
  • Communicate professionally to obtain information
  • Meet chargeable time recording targets, with targets increasing during the probation period in accordance with progression and competency
  • Provide and maintain accurate MI Spreadsheets

Working Hours and Location

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Primary location is Parklands, Bolton Office, with agile working arrangements in place.

Requirements

  • Pass in English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
  • IT literacy
  • Good telephone manner
  • Good communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail must be of a high standard, especially when dealing with repetitive tasks
  • Ability to prioritize and work on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and organize workload
  • Commitment to learning and understanding processes and building a level of experience within the role

  • Previous experience of working in a target-driven environment and/or time recording
