About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled English Teacher to join our inclusive SEN school in Colchester. As a dedicated educator, you will deliver engaging and accessible English lessons tailored to students with diverse learning needs.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Create individualized lesson plans to help students build confidence in reading, writing, and communication.
  • Collaborate with an experienced SEN team to design adaptive learning materials that make English engaging for students with varied learning challenges.
  • Emphasize personal growth and confidence-building, supporting students both academically and socially as they develop essential literacy skills.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • QTS with a strong foundation in English and prior experience teaching SEN students.
  • A proven ability to adapt English curriculum content creating lessons that cater to a variety of learning needs and levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a positive approach to working with SEN students.
  • A clear DBS check is required to maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.

Salary Range: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
