Network Security Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network and IT Security Engineer to join our team at Pearson Carter. As a key member of our Microsoft Technology Recruitment team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT infrastructure and cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and secure on-premises infrastructure and cloud-based systems, ensuring compliance with best practices and mitigating security risks.
- Design and implement future systems, including researching and recommending new technologies and solutions.
- Manage Active Directory, Azure AD, and assist developers in architecting Azure for future application deployment.
- Configure and maintain firewall rules and policies to ensure network security.
- Perform internal penetration testing and organize external testing to identify vulnerabilities.
Requirements:
- Proficient understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and relevant Microsoft/CompTia qualifications.
- Knowledge of ITIL and ISO27001 frameworks.
