About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Wings School Notts. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the teacher in providing a tailored and engaging curriculum for students with special educational needs.
  • Support students with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia/dyspraxia in reaching their full potential.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting emotional, social, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support for students.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 months experience working in an education setting with students with special educational needs.
  • Ability to tailor skills to meet individual student needs.
  • Kind, caring, and patient approach when supporting students with specialist needs.
  • Ability to commute to Newark.

Wings School Notts is an independent therapeutic residential community and day school providing social care and education for children and young people aged 9-17 with SEMH needs. Our team has extensive experience in supporting students with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and dyslexia/dyspraxia.
