Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an alternative provision in Newark-on-Trent. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to promote a holistic approach that caters to the needs of children with SEN, including ASD and ADHD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside the classroom teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with SEN needs.
  • Set and monitor targets to ensure students receive appropriate support and make progress in their education.
  • Plan and deliver interventions for students accessing additional SEND support.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the growth and development of all pupils.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to form effective relationships with staff and pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsive and caring approach to supporting pupils with SEN needs.
