Role Overview:The Head of Supply Chain will oversee the entire supply chain process, ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operations. This includes procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution, with a focus on meeting customer demand while maintaining product quality and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain, including sourcing, procurement, production planning, logistics, and distribution.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with business goals and drive operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing waste and excess stock.
- Work closely with production, sales, and quality teams to ensure demand forecasting and production schedules are aligned.
- Implement and monitor KPIs to track supply chain performance, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and sustainability initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
- Manage budgets and optimize costs without compromising quality or delivery times.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to streamline operations and improve decision-making.
- Proven experience in a senior supply chain role (preferably 10 years with 5 within management) within the food and drink production industry.
- Strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive change and continuous improvement.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Ability to analyse data and metrics to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, quality control, and sustainability practices.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
