Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Waltham Forest, London. As a Psychology graduate, you will have a strong understanding of special educational needs and a passion for supporting students to reach their full potential.
Job Details
This role involves providing 1:1 and group support to students with special educational needs, working closely with teaching staff to develop targeted learning strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans with teaching staff
- Support students with special educational needs in small groups or one-to-one settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed
Requirements
- Psychology degree with a strong interest in education and SEN
- Knowledge of SEN and/or Makaton is desirable
- Excellent communication, patience, and empathy
