Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our construction division, you will be responsible for analysing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans, and preparing quantity estimates.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
  • Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
  • Liaising with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments, and other documents.
  • Advising managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
  • Keeping track of materials and ordering more when required.
  • Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a surveying or estimating role is required.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying is required.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • A good working knowledge of pricing and quantification methods.
  • Strong communication and personal skills, and the ability to form effective relationships with colleagues and third parties.
