This role is part of the Recruit-Ability Programme, a positive action initiative aimed at providing targeted training to disabled people who are under-represented in our workforce.
About the RoleAs an EDI Assistant Trainee, you will provide support to our Senior OD Adviser (EDI) in setting up and running training sessions, promoting and championing Equality and Diversity for all employees across the organisation. You will also assist in spreading awareness of Corporate Staff Networks and collaborating with network Chairs and Vice Chairs.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Senior OD Adviser (EDI) in delivering training sessions and promoting Equality and Diversity initiatives
- Assist in setting up and running events related to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
- Collaborate with Corporate Staff Networks and their Chairs and Vice Chairs
- Provide administrative support to the Organisational Development Team
To be successful in this role, you will need to have an ability to use Microsoft Office packages, an understanding of good customer service, and a keenness to learn. You will also need to be new to Walsall Council and have no previous or current employed status with this Council.
What We OfferWe offer a fixed-term contract for 12 months, working 18.5 hours per week. You will also receive a training allowance of approximately £11,183 per annum, based on a full-time training allowance of £22,366 per annum, pay award pending.
