We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Stockport School, playing a pivotal role in supporting teaching, learning, and progress.

Job Overview

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to provide tailored support, fostering independent learning skills and promoting academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with additional learning needs, particularly those with EHCPs and SEN School Support.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons, enhancing the learning experience, and promoting student engagement.
  • Supervise reading & literacy interventions, student enrichment clubs, lunch duties, and student work at lunchtime and after school.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A strong academic background with GCSE passes in English and mathematics at minimum grades C or 4 and above.
  • Additional strong GCSE and/or A Level passes (or equivalent) in other subject areas.
  • A graduate degree or higher educational qualification, Qualified Teacher Status, or Teaching Assistant qualified status.
