Welder/Fabricator Opportunity

Allied Vehicles Group is a leading manufacturer and supplier of wheelchair accessible transport solutions in the UK. Our company operates Scotland's largest independent Bodyshop and offers a range of garage services to insurance, commercial, and private customers.

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our Pre-Production department. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and converting components using general welding and fabrication tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete departmental induction instructions and adhere to safety protocols
  • Carry out work in accordance with relevant safe systems of work
  • Attend additional training as required to update coding certification
  • Adhere to job cards and complete work within standard allowed times
  • Report delays and faulty components to supervisor
  • Comply with quality control systems and maintain a clean working environment

To be effective in this role, you will be a time served or qualified Welder with M.I.G. experience and proficient in measuring equipment. Experience of T.I.G., welding stainless steel and aluminium, and operating a press brake would be advantageous.

Hours of work are Monday – Wednesday 9pm-7am & Thursday 8pm - 6am. The salary is up to £17.82 per hour DOE + bonus. We offer a range of benefits, including 27 days holiday, group pension scheme, group life, aftersales discounts, and industry leading benefits portal.
