We are seeking an experienced Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at The Forward Trust.

Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for delivering a core Connections service, including Health and Wellbeing and Substance Misuse Services, within HMP Millsike. You will work closely with trained prisoner Health and Wellbeing Champions to promote access to general healthcare and wellbeing services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To design and implement SMART recovery plans for individuals struggling with substance misuse
  • To provide health and wellbeing interventions, using motivational interviewing techniques in both 1:1 and group settings
  • To establish and maintain professional boundaries while working with a diverse range of clients

The ideal candidate will have experience of substance misuse and/or mental health work, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. A thorough knowledge of the 12-step process of recovery from addiction is also essential.
