Job Title: Health and Safety Manager - Transportation Sector

Egis is a global consulting and engineering firm. We provide consultancy, engineering, and operations services for clients in the transport and energy sectors. Our team works on iconic projects that help connect people, protect the environment, and meet emission reduction targets.

We are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in health and safety management in the transportation sector. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and developing policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and carrying out regular site safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments;
- Collating, processing, and maintaining data, records, or other information required for H&S within Egis M40;
- Facilitating the implementation, monitoring, and review of the company's H&S policies and assisting with the development and implementation of new company safety procedures;
- Maintaining and administering the company's safety manuals, procedures, and other related H&S documents;
- Ensuring that records of statutory inspections are kept for all activities and plant equipment;
- Representing the M40 in all local, group, and third-party H&S meetings;
- Ensuring subcontractor H&S documents, processes, and competencies are assessed, suitable, and available.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar highways' environment. They must hold a NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety or equivalent and have knowledge of National Highways Sector Schemes (NHSS).

In return, we offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, plus benefits including a full-time position and opportunities for career advancement.
