Financial Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team at Square Peg Recruitment Ltd. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Management Accountant in ensuring the accurate and smooth operation of the group's finances. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and submitting daily bank figures, ensuring timely and accurate information.
- Managing the group's financial mailbox, responding to queries, and resolving any discrepancies.
- Setting up new purchase ledger accounts and HMRC PAYE payments, adhering to accounting standards and regulations.
- Providing insightful reports on group funding utilization and limits, informing business decisions.
- Distributing various reports, including accounts packs to company directors, promoting transparency and accountability.
- Verifying bank reconciliations and consolidating cash flow, maintaining the integrity of financial data.
- Processing submitted documentation, including expenditure and demo vehicle forms, optimizing workflow efficiency.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in accounts, excellent Microsoft Excel skills, and experience managing deadlines. A positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to learn and grow are also essential requirements.
The compensation package includes 30 days annual leave, a competitive basic salary of £27,500, and pension benefits, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
