The key elements of this role are to ensure our IREF business delivers corporate KPIs, mandatory compliance, and technical support to our team of technicians.
- Manage the on-call rota to ensure adequate levels of cover at all times
- Participate in Safety Week activities and encourage technician participation
- Highlight and work with admin to ensure technicians' tools are calibrated and electrical tools are PAT tested and within date
- Support technicians to identify first-time fixes and drive client service delivery
- Ensure compliance with the Johnson Controls safety culture and adhere to all applicable safety standards, requirements, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations
- Conduct one-to-one reviews and identify high-performing technicians for recognition and reward
- Identify and promote team members for progression within JCI
- Ability to manage, influence, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Proven experience in industrial refrigeration, including experience in a leadership role
- Technical background and knowledge of Industrial Refrigeration Systems in industrial and commercial environments
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellence in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Proven ability to manage budgets and drive operational efficiency
- Driving license
