Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to lead our commercial project in South East London. The successful candidate will oversee the project's management and success, ensuring health and safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, addressing environmental concerns, adhering to the project timeline, and overseeing the cost and value of operations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide leadership and energy to drive project success.
  2. Ensure the mechanical works run smoothly according to a strict programme.
  3. Maintain high-quality control procedures.
  4. Lead regular site meetings with all interested parties.
  5. Report on site progress to the project manager.
  6. Produce and manage a two-week look ahead plan.
  7. Manage sub-contractors to achieve programme targets.
  8. Assist with commissioning and handover of completed work.
  9. Review the scope of works and produce RAMS documents as required.
  10. Issue technical submittals for equipment and packages under the guidance of the project manager.
  11. Maintain accurate site documentation, permits, and plant registers.
  12. Conduct regular site safety checks.
  13. Identify and resolve problems proactively.
  14. Review methods of working and alternative materials to maximise commercial profitability.
  15. Implement and maintain company policies for sustainability, health and safety, quality, environment, training and development, and embody the company culture and values.
  16. Perform other duties relevant to the role.
Requirements:
  1. Hold relevant Mechanical trade qualifications.
  2. Possess a current, valid CSCS skill card.
  3. Hold SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
  4. Have experience in a similar role working for a Tier 1 M&E Contractor.
  5. Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills.
Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum
