Job Title: Senior Transport Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting a Local Authority in Islington with the appointment of a Senior Transport Planner on a 2-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Team Manager and Head of Service to manage and scrutinize budgets and income for your work areas.
  • Take ownership of managing budgets and income associated with your work program in accordance with council financial guidance and policies.
  • Support the Team Manager and Head of Service with audits for your work areas and assist in preparing accurate financial reports for analysis.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in transport planning, urban design, or a related field to degree level, with at least one year of successful experience.
  • Four years of work experience in a related role.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in working on public realm and transport network improvements for multiple initiatives, policies, and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to deliver initiatives, policies, and projects within agreed constraints, including risk management, budgets, programs, procurement, governance, and reporting procedures in a local government context.
