Job Summary

SRG is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Laboratory Support Specialist to join their technical team on a temporary basis. As a Laboratory Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to the laboratory team, ensuring the efficient operation of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatching samples to customers, partners, and other business sites, as requested by the technical and commercial teams
  • Managing the sample inventory, arranging for disposal of old samples, checking stocks of standard supplies, and booking incoming samples into the inventory management system
  • Ordering all chemicals and consumables for the technical team
  • Liaising with suppliers to source required raw materials
  • Managing the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) inventory
  • Assisting in the management of safety documentation, including coordinating the reviewing of critical documents
  • Processing transactions in SAP necessary to support the above duties
  • Assisting in the laboratory as required, with a specific emphasis on helping to prepare samples required for dispatch
  • Maintaining good housekeeping and conforming to all HSE&S procedures in own work area and shared areas of labs

Requirements

  • Immediate availability or available at short notice
  • Proven experience of SAP and/or inventory and procurement systems is desirable
  • High attention to detail
