About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Pre-operative Assessment department at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe preparation of patients for their upcoming operations. You will work closely with our trained nurses to carry out investigations and measurements, using your initiative to provide high-quality care to our patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide fundamental care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner, acting always in their best interests.
- Protect and maintain patients' privacy and dignity at all times.
- Provide individualized care for a diverse group of patients, respecting their personal beliefs and preferences.
- Alert the Registered Practitioner and/or Ward/Department Manager to any change or concern relating to the welfare of the patient in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Successful completion of Trust's Band 2 Developmental Passport or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of competence.
- Experience as a Healthcare Assistant within an acute hospital environment or equivalent setting.
- Reliable work/study record.
