Cooper Lomaz is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join their team in Wolverhampton. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's success in the manufacturing and design industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including items or services purchased, costs, delivery, and product quality.
  • Place purchase orders based on requisitions for engineering materials, component parts, and other items.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods by expediting purchase orders and resolving any issues with non-conforming materials.
  • Liaise with suppliers to obtain information on price, availability, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare purchase orders or bid requests within budget limitations.
  • Solve invoice queries raised by the Accounts department.

Requirements:

  • Accredited qualification in Procurement (MCIPS) or relevant experience in a production, manufacturing, or design environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve supplier queries efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other MS Office programs.
  • Experience with NEC3 type contracts.

Desirable Skills:

  • Mentoring or training experience.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and negotiate effectively.

Experience:

  • Experience in procurement or supply chain management within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with contract negotiations and vendor selection.

Salary: £42,500 - £52,000 per annum depending on experience.

Location: Wolverhampton, with potential domestic and international travel as needed.
