Job Title: Senior Reliability Engineer

At Dover Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reliability Engineer to join our Research & Engineering UK team in Nottingham. As a key member of our Product Development Division, you will play a critical role in driving excellent long-term availability, quality, and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and mitigate risks during new product development, ensuring the highest level of reliability and quality.
  • Perform reliability analysis and verification/validation tests during new product development, utilizing tools such as Minitab and Reliasoft.
  • Inform the product development team of reliability testing failures, providing actionable insights to drive improvement.
  • Collaborate with design, development, process, and manufacturing engineers to assess the risk of a process or design using best practice risk discovery processes.
  • Ongoing reliability champion, assessing field and customer utilization patterns to establish engineering responses to customer utilization for launched products.
  • Drive creative, hands-on, electrical/firmware solutions for engineering validation, leveraging expertise in PLC's, Arduino, and other electrical hardware.
  • Develop and implement project test plans, ensuring efficient and effective testing processes.
  • Participate in regular design reviews, providing expert input on reliability and quality.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years applied engineering practice and minimum of 3 years' experience practicing reliability or product testing activities.
  • Experience with reliability engineering processes such as ALT, HALT, FMEA, and MIL STD book.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Minitab, Reliasoft, and test case management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to moderate/gear language to the audience.
  • Ability to coordinate test activities inside a project core team, with a strong understanding of Work Breakdown Structure techniques.
