About the Role:

At Dover Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Reliability Engineer to join our Product Development Division in Nottingham, UK. As a reliability champion, you will play a critical role in ensuring the long-term availability, quality, and system performance of our products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assess and mitigate risks during new product development, utilizing your expertise in reliability engineering processes such as ALT, HALT, FMEA, and MIL-STD.
  • Perform reliability analysis and verification/validation tests during new product development, leveraging your experience with tools like Minitab and Reliasoft.
  • Inform the product development team of reliability testing failures and work closely with design, development, process, and manufacturing engineers to assess the risk of a process or design.
  • Drive creative, hands-on, electrical/firmware solutions for engineering validation and establish a multi-site lab network with plans towards test automation and higher efficiency.
  • Develop and implement project test plans, participate in regular design reviews, and support program-level design for reliability activities committed in the phase/gate process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of applied engineering practice and at least 3 years of experience in reliability or product testing activities, preferably with an understanding of both manual and automated test methods.
  • Experience with reliability engineering processes, tools, and techniques, as well as a good understanding of testing electro-mechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to moderate/gear language to the audience and coordinate test activities inside a project core team.
