This role will play a critical part in our external affairs strategy, supporting our engagement with influential stakeholders and managing the reputation of National Highways.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in external affairs, public affairs or strategic stakeholder engagement, with experience of building relationships with senior stakeholders and managing reputations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of our external engagement strategy to build support and advocacy for our work with influential industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective communication plans to engage with stakeholders and promote National Highways' messages.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders and influencers, promoting National Highways' interests and values.
  • Represent National Highways at external events, conferences and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions and provide regular updates to senior leaders.
What You'll Need
  • A strong track record in external affairs, public affairs or strategic stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience of building relationships with senior stakeholders and managing reputations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage complex issues.
  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
