We are seeking a skilled Construction Specialist to join Guinness Partnership as a key member of our team.

About the Role

As a Construction Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting surveys and property inspections, overseeing the delivery of subcontracted repairs to ensure they meet Guinness standards and timeframes.

You will report to our Complex Repairs Manager and conduct surveys in your specified region, including Damp Mould and Condensation inspections. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing complex faults and failures, supporting Guinness Partnership to deliver high-quality works that are on-time, within budget, and safe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough property inspections and surveys to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Overseeing the delivery of subcontracted repairs to ensure they meet Guinness standards and timeframes.
  • Diagnosing complex faults and failures, and specifying remedies to building defects.
  • Supporting Guinness Partnership to deliver high-quality works that are on-time, within budget, and safe.
  • Collaborating with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
Requirements
  • Educated to Level 4 (HNC in Surveying or Construction & Built Environment) or higher.
  • Excellent knowledge of building construction standards, legislation, and the ability to diagnose and specify remedies to building defects.
  • Experience in undertaking assessments in line with the Housing Health & Safety Rating System.
  • Understanding of responsive repairs, voids work, planned, and cyclical repairs requirements.
  • Ability to be proactive, work independently, and manage contractors.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and housing management systems.
  • Full driving license.
