We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Leicester, a Category B prison located in Leicester. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, offering an annual salary up to £38,115 per annum FTE, depending on experience. You will receive a bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course, and have access to regional and national career development opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review care plans, and develop treatment options.
  • Assess patients' health needs using an evidence-based framework and be able to risk assess using sound clinical knowledge.
  • Develop and implement psychosocial interventions, group work, and awareness of substance misuse.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide high-quality patient care and support.
