Rotherwood Education is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Geography Teacher to join their dynamic and high-achieving department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching KS3 & KS4 students in a well-established, forward-thinking school in Lancashire.

The role is a full-time, ongoing position starting as soon as possible. The school is looking for a teacher who has a passion for the subject, strong classroom management, and a commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar position and teaching Key Stage 3-4. They will be expected to take part in any necessary duties of a permanent teacher, including planning and preparing lessons, parents' evenings, and staff meetings.

The successful Geography Teacher will be committed to providing the best support and development for all students, and will be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy several checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach KS3 & KS4 Geography to students
  • Plan and prepare lessons, including parents' evenings and staff meetings
  • Contribute to the development of the Geography department
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar position and teaching Key Stage 3-4
  • Strong classroom management and a passion for the subject
  • Commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
