Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust has an excellent reputation and is a centre of excellence for women's healthcare. We deliver approximately 7,500 babies each year and carry out around 50,000 gynaecological procedures annually.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Education and Training team as a Clinical Skills Trainer and Educator, covering specifically the Gynaecology Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting staff in clinical areas to develop and maintain clinical proactive knowledge and skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • To act as a role model for pre and post registration staff and learners in Gynaecology.
  • To provide cover in urgent situations for clinical practice roles as and when appropriate as part of escalation processes.
  • To be a cascade trainer for a range of key clinical skills to include manual handling, pressure ulcer prevention, hand hygiene and others as deemed necessary.
  • To provide expert advice and teaching in clinical practice - practical mentoring and support.
  • To support Matrons and ward leads to implement new policies and guidance (and associated learning) as necessary across the directorate.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have a recognised teaching/ mentorship qualification and evidence of ongoing dynamic continuing professional development. You should also have experience of delivery of key clinical skills training and recent clinical experience at a senior level.

Salary Information

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
