Job Information

Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at South East Water. As a key player in our operational team, you will play a vital role in maintaining and installing electrical systems and equipment to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of our production works and operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain, and install electrical plant and water treatment-related equipment, including control panels, pumps, motors, chemical dosing equipment, and water quality analysers.
  • Participate in a standby roster providing out-of-hours assistance to the operational area.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Production team with Confined Space Entries.
  • Supervise the work of Contractors and external service providers.
  • Accurately record-keeping linked to reactive and planned maintenance work.
  • Ensure business systems and work management systems are kept up to date.
  • Work in line with company policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
  • Help to complete administration, such as timesheets, health and safety forms, and vehicle record sheets.
  • Help to monitor and maintain the security of the production site.
  • Update and maintain site operating manuals.
  • Issue Permits to Work where required.
  • Contribute and assist with engineering capital works as and when required.

Requirements

  • You are electrically qualified to at least Level 3 NVQ Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within an industrial, commercial, or domestic position is a plus.
  • Ability to fault-find and problem-solve electrical equipment.
  • Highly organised individual with the ability to work under your own direction.
  • Confident using IT and computers to update records and reports.
  • Hold a clean driver's licence.
