About the Role

Skanska, a leading project development and construction group, is seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join their team on a major highway improvement project in Cambridgeshire. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of the project, working closely with the Section Engineer and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Develop and implement temporary works design briefs to meet project requirements.
  • Review designs and identify potential issues, collaborating with the Section Engineer to resolve them.
  • Contribute to the project's 4-week lookahead programme, ensuring timely completion of works.
  • Manage site works, including excavation, concrete, and structural steelwork, to meet project specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures, as well as environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Professional industry qualification (IEng, CEng, etc.) or working towards it.
  • Competence with digital tools and software.
  • Formal training in health and safety and environmental management.
  • Relevant CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
