Lead Animator

As a Lead Animator, you'll be instrumental in bringing our ambitious vision to life, crafting high-quality gameplay animation assets and systems that deliver distinct performance and heighten player immersion.
We're seeking a seasoned professional with a passion for video games and a deep understanding of current trends in animation. Your expertise in keyframe animation, motion capture methods, and game engine development will be invaluable in shaping the project direction and vision.
As a collaborative team leader, you'll guide the creation of animation assets and systems, working closely with Art Directors and Art Leads to ensure seamless integration with non-gameplay animation. Your experience in mentoring and growing an animation department will be essential in empowering your team to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the creation of high-quality gameplay animation assets and systems
- Collaborate with Art Directors and Art Leads to shape project direction and vision
- Deliver animation systems and empower feature owners and members of the animation team
- Work with related teams on block-out to final animations and systems
- Develop and maintain expertise in animation principles, keyframe animation, and motion capture methods
- Experience with motion capture data and relevant pipelines, Unreal Engine or similar
- Experience with Motion Matching and State Machines development
- Experience shooting and directing motion capture for gameplay animation
