Job Title: Health Safety Environmental Manager
Owen Mumford Ltd is seeking a Health Safety Environmental Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering Health, Safety and Environmental Management within the company.
The Health Safety Environmental Manager will ensure compliance with current legislation and company requirements. This includes formulating, developing and reviewing policies, procedures and other guidance necessary to ensure compliance.
The role also involves developing all supporting and required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HS&E Management Systems to be compatible with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.
The Health Safety Environmental Manager will lead all external Third Party Audits and ensure follow up of interventions by enforcing authorities. This includes internal pre-audits to ensure compliance and reviews or amends as required.
The role also involves establishing, maintaining and reporting on a system for the timely reporting and investigation of safety and environmental events (accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformities).
The Health Safety Environmental Manager will lead off RIDDOR reportable accident investigations and corrective actions. They will also advise the Executive Team and Management on the setting of HS&E objectives.
The role involves establishing management programmes, monitoring compliance and reporting on progress to the Executive Team, Management and HSE meetings as required.
The Health Safety Environmental Manager will provide ongoing support and advice to managers, as requested, on all matters relating to health, safety and environmental topics.
The role also involves continuous interaction with and communication with all levels within the business with the aim of supporting a positive health and safety culture and behavioural HS&E.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation
- Formulate, develop and review policies, procedures and other guidance necessary to ensure compliance

Requirements:
- NEBOSH Diploma
- Experience in Health Safety and Environmental Management systems and procedures
- Chartered Membership of IOSH
- IEMA or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a safety environment
- Familiar with safe working practices
- To have a good understanding of Corporate and Social responsibilities
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
