Arboriculture Trainer

Merrist Wood College is seeking an experienced arborist/tree surgeon professional to join our team as an Arboriculture Vocational Trainer. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and instruction to our students, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the arboriculture industry.

• Deliver short course provision and practical modules for full-time students
• Work collaboratively with our arboriculture teaching staff to develop and deliver engaging and effective training programs
• Guide learners and candidates as they build a wide range of practical skills across vocational pathways in Arboriculture
• Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment strategies

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• An appropriate arboriculture qualification, with extensive industry experience and excellent knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• The following NPTC qualifications: Chainsaw Maintenance, Tree Climbing and Aerial rescue, Tree felling up to 380mm, Chainsaw use from rope and harness
• Strong organisation skills, coupled with the ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a team environment
