Arboriculture Trainer

Merrist Wood College is seeking an experienced arborist/tree surgeon professional to join our team as an Arboriculture Vocational Trainer. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and instruction to our students, focusing on arboriculture skills and knowledge.

As an Arboriculture Vocational Trainer, you will work closely with our teaching staff to develop and deliver engaging and effective training programs. Your expertise in arboriculture will be invaluable in shaping the next generation of arborists and tree surgeons.

• Deliver high-quality training and instruction to students in arboriculture skills and knowledge
• Develop and deliver training programs in collaboration with teaching staff
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Contribute to the development of curriculum and training materials
• Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to departmental decisions

• Appropriate arboriculture qualification
• Extensive industry experience in arboriculture
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• NPTC qualifications in chainsaw maintenance, tree climbing and aerial rescue, tree felling, and chainsaw use from rope and harness
• Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise workloads
