Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Head of the School of Medicine

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our esteemed institution as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Head of the School of Medicine. As a key member of our academic community, you will be responsible for driving the School's international research profile and educational activities to new heights.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research and a clear vision for developing a research strategy for the School. They will hold a Chair of Medicine alongside the appointment as Dean and will be expected to maintain close links with the GMC and represent the University of St Andrews externally.

The ideal candidate will be medically qualified and have a strong understanding of the academic medicine landscape. They will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement a clear research strategy for the School, and will be able to represent the University of St Andrews at national and international levels.
