We are seeking a qualified and experienced GCSE Drama teacher to join our Ofsted Good school in Southend On Sea. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Drama at GCSE level on a full-time basis.
About the RoleThe Drama department is particularly successful and well-resourced, boasting a supportive and approachable head of department. This is an excellent opportunity for both ECTs and experienced Drama teachers to make a real difference in the lives of our students.
Responsibilities- Lesson planning and effective delivery to meet the needs of all learners
- Assessment and recording of achievement
- Managing the classroom and resources effectively in order to create a safe stimulating and positive learning environment for all students
- To maintain positive discipline and promote the wellbeing and progress of students providing guidance and advice
- Developing positive relationships with colleagues parents and students maintaining effective lines of communication
- Degree in Drama or related subject
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience of teaching GCSE Drama
- Excellent subject knowledge
- Lewis ability to work within the UK
The salary for this position will be paid in line with the teacher pay scale (MPS/UPS), circa £35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
