Senior Business Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Operations Manager to oversee business operations, delegate tasks to team members, and resolve problems that occur on their shift. The successful candidate will work across a rotating shift pattern of 8am-4.30pm / 12pm-8.30pm / 4pm-12.30am Mon-Fri.

About the Role:
  • Responsible for all on-shift Health, Safety, Environmental issues arising, including conducting safety incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions for issues affecting departmental KPIs and specify process improvements to enhance operational performance.
  • Represent the department at internal and external customer meetings, communicate departmental shift issues and performance at team briefs, and attend team board reviews and board walks.
  • Manage manpower resources effectively to support customer delivery requirements and drive Lean Manufacturing principles, including Continuous Improvement activity.
  • Responsible for managing the development and maintenance of accurate Standard Work documentation, auditing employees against standards, and driving process consistency.
  • Identify departmental training needs using company training processes and capture all training with sign-off documentation.
  • Drive Departmental Quality objectives, carry out full PPS activity, and Root Cause Analysis for Premium Freight, scrap costs, or stock losses.
  • Assist production in engineering changes, production trials, model changes, and pilot builds.
  • Support in developing concepts for use in formal customer proposals, including process flow diagrams, KPIs, and facility layouts.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management Team in setting and driving organisational vision, Operations strategy, and hiring levels.
  • Supervise company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and organisational goals are met.
Your Key Skills:
  • Strong experience in leading a diverse team with a hands-on approach.
  • Two or more years of experience in supervisory roles within a fast-paced logistics operation.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
  • Understanding of business planning and reporting.
  • Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.

The salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. DP World offers a market-competitive compensation package, opportunities for personal growth and self-development within an informal atmosphere.
