About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced social work practitioner to join our adoption support team.

As an Adoption Support Specialist, you will play an active role in delivering high-quality adoption services, working closely with adoptive families, birth parents, and other stakeholders.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families, providing emotional support, guidance, and practical assistance to help them navigate the adoption process.

This is a challenging but rewarding role, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and agencies.

About Us

We are Coram, a leading charity dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Our Regional Adoption Agency delivers statutory adoption support services and family finding for local authority partners across London and surrounding areas.

Your Responsibilities

As an Adoption Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional support and guidance to adoptive families, birth parents, and other stakeholders
  • Conducting assessments and creating care plans to meet the needs of adoptive families
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to support adoptive families and promote positive outcomes

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Experience working with vulnerable children and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and agencies
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Salary: £38,000 - £46,000 per annum
