Job Title: Microwave Manufacturing Inspector


Job Description:


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Microwave Manufacturing Inspector to join the Operations Manufacturing team at Leonardo, a renowned leader in the aerospace industry.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Perform thorough inspections of microwave products to ensure compliance with quality standards and drawings.
  • Document any defects found during inspection in SAP and collaborate with the team to rectify issues.
  • Utilize microscopes to inspect PCBs, bonds, and component placement.
  • Contribute to the rectification or investigation of defects on products as needed.
  • Work in accordance with ESD and FOD disciplines.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in process and yield.
  • Maintain a clean working area in compliance with ISO class 7 and ISO class 8 clean room standards.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing and Planning to ensure products meet required deadlines.
  • Verify that build processes and checks are being followed.
  • Maintain a clean working area and comply with Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Stay familiar and compliant with clean room and ESD disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance to regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Identify improvements in process and yield.

Requirements:



  • Inspection of wire bonding and die bonding.
  • Experience in a range of hybrid microelectronic assembly, including device attachment methods and interconnection techniques.
  • Ability to inspect both repeat production and varied one-off types of work.
  • Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ability to carry out inspection of microwave work to MIL-STD 883H and BS9450.
  • Certified to IPC610 and ability to apply requirements within the standards objectively and consistently.
  • Proven track record.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels, as collaboration with Industrial Engineering, Production Planning & Engineering is required.
