Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Hays Construction and Property. This role offers the opportunity to work with an established earthworks contractor providing solutions to blue-chip clients across the UK.

The Role:

  • Assist and support the existing commercial team in reviewing site records, summarizing site diaries, and allocating payments according to contract terms.
  • Prepare and present monthly cost/value reconciliations and final cost/value forecasts.
  • Procure, negotiate, and place sub-contract and materials orders.
  • Manage sub-contractors through to settlement of their final accounts.
  • Liaise closely with clients on all commercial matters.

Requirements:

  • HND or BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Civil Engineering experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts and administration.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programmes.
