**Trainee** **Steel Estimator**
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in performing quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications
- Learn to estimate the cost of structural steel based on industry standards and pricing guidelines
- Collaborate with experienced estimators to prepare bids and proposals for construction projects
- Develop skills in risk assessment to identify potential uncertainties in estimating steel costs
- Support the documentation and reporting process, maintaining accurate records of estimates and project details
- Shadow and assist senior estimators in client meetings, enhancing communication and relationship-building skills
- Continuously learn about steel fabrication processes, installation techniques, and industry best practices
- Provide support in cost control activities, assisting in monitoring project costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in the field
- Follow company safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
**Qualifications**:
- A strong interest in the construction industry, specifically in steel estimation
- Basic knowledge of construction drawings and specifications
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team
- Ability to work under guidance and learn from experienced professionals
- A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and willingness to take on new challenges
