About the Job

We are seeking a dedicated Community Safety Advocate to join our road safety team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting road safety education and advocating for the needs of our community.

About the Role

  • You will work with schools to develop and implement effective road safety programs that educate children on how to stay safe on the roads.
  • You will collaborate with community organizations to promote road safety awareness and encourage people to take action to improve road safety in our area.
  • You will work closely with the road safety team to identify areas of need and develop strategies to address them.
  • You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, teachers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • You must hold a vocational qualification (e.g., NVQ 2 or equivalent) and have experience working in a similar service area or delivering training to school pupils and others in the community.
  • You must demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice relating to road safety education and school crossing patrol.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £27,000 - £32,000 per annum (pro rata to hours worked).
  • A part-time position working 22.2 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year).
  • An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post.
