Join Our Team as a Corporate Ratings Analyst

Fitch Ratings is a leading provider of credit ratings, commentary, and research. We are seeking a talented Corporate Ratings Analyst to join our EMEA Corporate group in Manchester.

About the Role

As a Corporate Ratings Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting senior team colleagues with corporate credit analysis for public and private ratings and credit opinions. You will interact with corporate debt issuers and rating advisors, and present and discuss your rating recommendations, ideas, and facts effectively in writing and verbally to a rating committee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support senior team colleagues with corporate credit analysis for public and private ratings and credit opinions
  • Interact with corporate debt issuers and rating advisors
  • Present and discuss your rating recommendations, ideas, and facts effectively in writing and verbally to a rating committee
  • Deliver quality outputs to internal and external parties within deadlines
  • Use effective questioning and listening skills in internal credit discussions and those with external constituents
  • Assist in producing thematic research reports
  • Support senior team colleagues in preparation of presentations to investors and prospect issuers
  • Demonstrate interest in keeping yourself up to date with market/industry developments and support senior team colleagues with response to credit events
  • Conduct work in compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
  • Be available to travel in EMEA region, primarily in western Europe
  • Contribute to a team spirit of intelligent and open discussion as well as of cooperation
Requirements
  • A background in corporate finance, bachelor's degree at minimum
  • Some relevant working experience in banking, financial services, or industry
  • A demonstrated understanding of and keen interest to deepen your understanding of corporate finance and credit analysis
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Cash flow modelling skills
  • Process and project management skills with ability to take ownership of projects to completion
  • Team work skills
  • Fluency in all forms of written and spoken English
  • Time management skills and ability to cope with tight deadlines
  • Reliability and integrity
