Job Purpose:

The Human Resources Lead will be responsible for providing strategic HR guidance and support to our line managers, ensuring that our employees are engaged, motivated, and equipped to perform at their best. You will work closely with our HR Administrator to ensure that all HR processes and procedures are up-to-date and compliant with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Resourcing:
    • Lead on and support the recruitment of all roles within the business, ensuring that we attract and retain top talent.
    • Build relationships with key recruiters and ensure that all job descriptions are up-to-date and reviewed annually.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Provide day-to-day advice to line managers on all human resources issues, including management of employees, remuneration, maternity, paternity, etc.
    • Direct and coordinate responses to discipline and grievance matters, ensuring adherence to company policy and legislation.
    • Monitor all sickness absences and provide recommendations and effective solutions to reduce levels where necessary.
  • Engagement / Health & Well-Being / Core Values:
    • Launch, drive, and implement the annual Employee Engagement Survey across the business.
    • Analyse and compare results to previous years and produce a report in an understandable and readable format to be communicated to employees.
    • Review, develop, and implement suitable employee engagement activities that add value to both the organisation and employee.
  • Employee Performance, Succession Planning & Development:
    • Implement and manage the annual and mid-year appraisal and probationary period process, ensuring all paperwork and tools are relevant and up-to-date.
    • Work with the Leadership Team on the Talent Management Process for the business.
    • Ensure the booking of all employee training activities in accordance with the training budget and outcomes of individual appraisals.
    • Identify free or funded training with local providers and source business grants to further enhance the business training & development offer.
    • Support employees in creating effective personal development plans and advise on how to keep these effective and current.
  • Employment Policies, Procedures and Contract of Employment:
    • Support in the development, updating, implementation, and monitoring of effective and relevant employment policies and procedures that foster good employee relations and comply with UK employment legislation.
    • Support on any consultations relating to changes in terms and conditions of employment in a professional and legally compliant manner, for all employees (UK and International).
  • Remuneration & Reward:
    • Support the Leadership Team in the review and success of all benefits.
    • Support with the renewal of any benefits that are due to renewal during the financial year, including finding providers that offer good value for money.
    • Launch and communicate any new benefit schemes and continue to promote.
  • HR Reporting and Administration:
    • Ensure that all KPI/key HR metrics are updated on a monthly basis and communicated to the Leadership Team, along with highlighting any key areas of concern.
    • Ensure that all employee HR files are kept up-to-date and compliant with relevant legislation.
  • HR & Business Projects:
    • Support with the implementation of key HR and business projects.
  • Internal Communications:
    • Continue to drive and support the internal communications strategy and implementation plans.
  • Payroll & Pension:
    • Ensure that all monthly pay exceptions are captured correctly in the HR system.
    • Manage international payments each month, ensuring timely communication to each provider.
    • Pension contributions are submitted in a timely manner and cross-checked for accuracy.
  • Strategic & Budget:
    • Ensure that all activities are in line with the set annual budget.
    • Work with the Leadership Team to build a strong working environment and a positive, performance-driven culture that attracts and retains talent.
